Who we are

Hi there! My name is Michelle Paul, and I provide cat sitting care in the Sullivan’s Gulch Neighborhood of NE Portland! I have been caring for three cats of my own - Suzy, Kirby, and Baby Leo for 5+ years and counting, all who I adopted about a year apart at the Oregon Humane Society. I am humbled to have them as my family members and have learned so much from them. They bring me so much joy, laughter, and am thankful to be responsible for their daily needs and care. Please read on for fun tidbits about each of these sweet souls!

Suzy is my soul-cat through and through. She was the first cat I adopted as an adult (I previously was allergic when I was a kid!) in 2020 and it didn’t take even a day to find her nestled with me when I slept! She is a sweet, calm soul who is quite the leisure Queen, a girl after my own heart! She’s a Torbi (Tortie-Tabby mix) though most understandably mistake her for a Calico! Ever since the first week I met her, she does this cute thing with raising her paw to her chest like she is meditating. Maybe it’s her respectful plea for dinner? Or a regal gesture from a past life? Either way, it’s one of her cute quirks and like to think it’s also a divine sign for me to slow down and take a breath, too.

Kirby is my middle child, a doe eyed grey tabby who is a little rascal, but yet also the most empathic of my cats! Even before I shed a tear when I’m sad, Kirby knows and comes finds me, sits with me and puts his paws on me. His comfort never ceases to amaze me. He often flops for belly rubs and I always try to oblige of course!

Baby Leo is my youngest boy and is a quirky orange gentleman! He is small and squeaky, yet he has an air about him where I think he thinks he’s a Lion! His squeaks are quite mighty at dinnertime! His tail was too mangled when he arrived at the shelter that they did have to amputate his tail. He has a cute lil’ tuft reminiscent of a bunny tail or chicken butt! It’s so cute when he wiggles it! I have had some challenges to work through with him as he is prone to urinary issues and have had two late night scares at urgent care. Thankfully he pulled through and I take extra measures for preventative care such as adding water to all of his meals and a supplement to keep his tract clear as possible, as well as keep environmental stressors at bay to the best of my ability.
